His opportunity is to farm and have a harvest, to put in hard work and receive a reward. That's his opportunity. Now the word go here suggests a purpose. He's an active worker, the outcome of his opportunity is all dependent upon his commitment to the task that lies before him. The opportunity's there, it's up to him to follow to go and the word go, as it is translated in our text is properly translated as, continually going forth. It reminds us of the the word "go" into great commission. The same terminology is used as Jesus said to go into all the world. That is a present tense verb, "to go." It means to continually go, quite literally as you are going. And so, like the farmer, you and I are called to go. We're given an opportunity. We are to make disciples as we are going. We are to make disciples continually going.
