In a spirit of education and compassion, I present my take on the latest game controversy for a KS project, Tournament Fishing. While many has made the snap judgment that this is "cancel culture" all over again, I show in detail that it is the wrong framing for it. In addition, I show how the idea of "cancel culture" itself can warp our perceptions, make us see things that are not there, and lead us to filter out efforts made in good faith.
