A natural disaster is a serious adverse event caused by natural processes on Earth; examples include floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, storms, rain, hail, wildfires, waves, wind, snow, weather, and other geological processes.
The storms of water and hail these days have left consequences in the Castilian-La Mancha countryside. This has been ratified by the ASAJA Castilla-La Mancha technicians, who have made a first assessment of the damage.
At the moment, the provinces of Ciudad Real and Toledo have been the most affected by the inclement weather and the forecasts of the State Meteorological Agency indicate that the rainfall has already stopped, except in Cuenca.
By provinces, mostly water has fallen in Albacete. However, in the municipality of El Bonillo it was affected by hail, causing 100% damage to crops such as vineyards and almonds.
In Ossa de Montiel, half of the municipality has also suffered the consequences of hail, destroying all vineyards, almonds and vegetables such as peppers and cauliflower.
And in other areas, a large amount of water was reached, such as in Bienservida, where up to 70 liters per square meter were recorded.
