Hi Spanglish Family,
It's Wednesday! You know what that means! Video day :)
I just want to say, I am very happy to be making videos based on YOUR suggestions. I look forward to talking about various topics you guys have brought up. This first one I found interesting and very necessary, because it gives you a perspective about how difficult it is to move information within Cuba and remain under the radar.
The Cuban system is designed to control an supervise. Every aspect of it has the intention of keeping control of everything and everyone, therefore rewarding "informants" is customary, an extra serving of rice, or cooking oil, or even a bar of soap, is enough to get some people to snitch. Sad and complex situation, and I hope I did ok trying to explain to you. Don't feel bad if none of this makes sense, it isn't supposed to make sense to the normal human being who only knows a free country. However, I do feel it's important to put the Cuban reality out there, so people realize just how senseless and cruel communism really is.
Song Clip played in video:

That is a song by El Funky de Cuba & Maykel Osorbo, two rappers who wrote this song about Yomil, another hip hop artist whom they accuse of being a chiva.
Thank you for watching! :) Be BLESSED, very blessed.
Love,
Day
