Let's take a minute to explore the search options in Fortix.
Using search will help you find data records quickly, no matter where you are in the Fortix System.
You can access the Search function in three different ways:
The first option is to click the magnifying icon to open the search options.
Secondly, you can type the letter "s" to access the search from anywhere in Fortix.
The third option is to use the dashboard Search component.
These methods access the search function to find any contact or invoice quickly and effortlessly.
Let's walk through an example. Your search for information begins with the magnifying icon at the top of each page in the system. From here, you can find any searchable module.
When using the Default option, the search will search through all the areas to find where the search terms are used.
The search results show records in the Customers, Contact persons, quotes and projects. This search results page can be further personalised to fit your business. The search term is highlighted for your convenience. Click on any underlined items to access that record.
With the Search component, you can search a specific module by activating the radio button and typing the search phrase.
The Search results open a page with a list of work requests containing the search phrase. The results could be further refined by using the filter on a project.
Click the link to access the Work Request record.
Another way to access the search function is by pressing "s".
This opens up a search window to further refine your search to find any contact or a list of contacts quickly.
Click the down arrow next to Advance to access more options.
The search results display a list view of the records within Fortix for the search.
Further filtering is available next to the heading and can be accessed by clicking the arrow.
