Swedish furniture and homewares brand Ikea opened its largest store in the world in the Philippines, on November 24, 2021. The new 730,000 square foot facility in the city of Pasay is part of the company’s global push to expand in Asia. It houses a dining area, call centre, showrooms, warehouses and an e-commerce facility. Ikea now has more than 460 physical stores in around 60 markets internationally and is planning to add 60 more locations in Asia and South America by the end of the fiscal year.
