Employing Health Technology for Responsive COVID-19 Management.

Lebanon has witnessed unprecedented crisis, the rapid spread of the coronavirus disease, financial meltdown, economic collapse, and the Beirut Port explosion. Today scaling up preparedness, and response capacities in Lebanon are essential to mitigate adverse health effects.
Bearing in mind that early diagnosis and adequate initial management are crucial for a better prognosis of COVID-19 and more than 80% of patients require proper monitoring at home. We created an automated system for tracking disease progression and providing proper medical guidance to COVID-19 patients anywhere at any time.

Our hybrid digital and physical program “CSP” directly connects patients with healthcare professionals. Promptly, medical history is collected and patients directly receive the required tools for remote monitoring. Automatically, physicians are notified, and patient-centered medical assessments are performed. Each patient is then evaluated, guided for proper disease management, and followed up until recovery and after 3,6- and 9-month post the COVID-19 infection.

In many ways, the COVID-19 Support Program was an experiment. Can e-health enable responsive access to professional care despite multiple crises? And if so, will the world work together to support that?

Thanks to the overwhelming support of individuals, we’ve made progress towards providing equitable access to professional healthcare for COVID-19 patients.

More than 350 lives were saved across Lebanon!

But our work is not done. The virus is still spreading, the economic and political instability in the country is adding an additional strain on an already overburdened and overwhelmed health care system and patients deteriorating at home are incapable of monitoring their disease progression.
We have to act now! We’re charging forward like never before to ensure all communities have the professional health guidance they need and deserve.

Together the power is ours!
