Sohaib Hassan Yousef: Hamas Uses Aid Money to Procure Turkish Citizenship for Its Operatives

Sohaib Hassan Yousef, the son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, the leader of Hamas in the West Bank, said in an October 10, 2021 interview on Sky News Arabia (UAE) that Hamas members use humanitarian aid money obtained from Arab and Islamic nations to procure Turkish citizenship and passports for its operatives. He also said that Hamas and Hizbullah share technology, as well as information about launching rockets into Israel and digging tunnels to carry out terrorist attacks against Israel. Yousef’s father, Sheikh Hassan Yousef, is the co-founder and current leader of Hamas in the West Bank. Sohaib Hassan Yousef had been a Hamas operative stationed in Turkey before defecting from Hamas in 2019. Sohaib’s brother, Mosab Hassan Yousef, known for his autobiography Son of Hamas, had served as an informant for Israeli intelligence services before defecting from Hamas in the late 2000s (see MEMRI TV Clip No, 2416).
