It has been historically used to control bleeding, heal wounds, aid digestion, and regulate body temperature. But remember, even though it has been used throughout history, there isn't much evidence to support these uses.
Green tea is made from the Camellia sinensis plant.
DOES GREEN TEA HAVE CAFFEINE:
Green tea has about 50 milligrams of caffeine, which is roughly the same as half a cup of coffee.
GREEN TEA FOR WEIGHT LOSS:
Another common comment about Green tea, is that it can help you burn fat. In some studies, green tea has been shown to increase fat burning and boost metabolic rate. However, in other studies, it has been shown that this doesn’t happen, so not all studies agree.
There may be some evidence of increased metabolism and fat burning shown in some lab models where there was a decrease in new blood vessel formation within fat storage. This means that it literally takes away the vital nutrition for your fat, and makes it die. But remember, this evidence isn’t strong enough to support the use of green tea solely for losing weight.
