President Rodrigo Roa Duterte meets with several Cabinet members for the second time this week to discuss various issues of national concern and the latest government actions in response to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) situation in the country.
Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Roy Cimatu presents the Agency’s accomplishments, major programs and ongoing projects in the first part of the Chief Executive’s Talk to the People.
On the President’s directive regarding the special risk allowance (SRA) for health care workers, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has released PhP311 million on August 25 and downloaded to the Centers for Health Development. The SRA will benefit 20,208 health care workers, particularly those in private health facilities.
The Chief Executive will await the recommendation on the possible resumption of face-to-face classes in areas where COVID-19 cases are low.
