Gov’t registered reduction in tax to GDP. Ministry of Finance to stabilize tax base.

The Ministry of Finance Planning and Economic Development has revealed that nationally there has been a reduction in Tax to GDP, from 12.2% down to 11.14% between the financial year 2019/2020 and financial year 2020/2021 within the same period, 83 local governments failed to collect their projected local revenues for the financial year 2020/2021.

However, to tackle the impacts of the pandemic, government since the financial year 2019/2020 has implemented deliberate measures, which have yielded positive results
