In todays #connectingtips #19 I want to share with you is about being #responsive to people when they connect with you.
Being responsive towards people that you #connect with shows that you are listening, attentive and shows respect towards the receiver..
People like people that are responsive to them because it shows that you are listening to them. Active listening is a big part of being responsive to others. It is just human nature that when you start a conversation with others…. Pay attention to them.
#Rapport can also be built when the receiver sees that you are being responsive towards them.
On the other hand, if you are not responsive to the receiver, they might think that you are not paying attention to them and worst case scenario, they might think you are rude and will burn the bridge of you being able to connect with them.
I have experienced many times of not being responsive towards the people I connect with, and it was a very negative experience and I have learnt my lesson of NOW giving my 100% concentration towards the receiver.
So make sure next time you connect with people, be responsive and attentive towards people you connect with.
