analyzing colonialism and capitalism in animal crossing 🦝🍃

lmao i had a wild journey with this video ..... both in terms of the content and the technical stuff like lighting, auto-focus, and more! my usual camera is broken so i'm fiddling around with a new set-up, so thanks for your patience while i figure out the learning curve to this. BUT ! animal crossing new horizons, but make it ecofeminist ✨ this was the final project i did for my ecofeminism class last semester and i created a whole zine and illustrative mock-up for it. the project was mainly inspired by all the hours i poured into ACNH and it was to poke fun at the game a little bit, but during the research process, i learned a lot more about ecofeminist theories, what makes a settler colonialist system, and solutions aimed at deconstructing them and making better systems of living. i hope this was as interesting for you as it was for me, and enjoy!
