Some apps track you everywhere you go. David & David made a TikTok video about how to change this #iPhone privacy setting, and TikTok removed it. Conspiracy? You be the judge. 馃ぃ
All we did was to show people how to stop apps — in that case, TikTok — from tracking you across other apps and websites. This setting is so important to Facebook that they took out full page ads in the New York Times, Washington Post, and other print newspapers just to try to stop Apple from implementing it. And if they're that mad about it, it must be good — for you!
This feature was introduced in iOS 14.5, so make sure your iPhone is up to date before you dive in. If it isn't, you can update to the latest version of iOS in Settings → General → Software Update.
If you decide you want to allow some apps to track you after you change this setting, you can always change your mind by going to #Settings → #Privacy → #Tracking.
