Annual IUCN Update on Nature-based Solutions: one year on from the Global Standard

One year on from the launch of the IUCN Global Standard for Nature-based Solutions™, IUCN kicks off its series of Annual Updates on Nature-based Solutions. Every year on July 23 we will be looking both backwards and forward, bringing the champions and critics of Nature-based Solutions to the same table. What were the stories of success? Where did we encounter barriers? What can we learn in order to mainstream NbS? And of course - what will we do next together?

This IUCN panel of experts covers a range of topics in a conversational panel moderated by Leigh-Ann Hurt ():
• Dr Radhika Murti (IUCN Global Ecosystem Management Programme) – capacity building
• Emmanuelle Cohen Shacham (Commission on Ecosystem Management) – research priorities
• Giulia Carbone (IUCN Global Business and Biodiversity Programme) – certification
• Adriana Vidal (IUCN Global Forest and Conservation Programme) – mitigation
• James McBreen (IUCN Global Forest and Conservation Programme) – applications
